Ingredients:
1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 count)
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Zest of 1 lemon
1/4 cup lemon curd
1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a donut pan.
In a medium bowl, beat together the cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon zest until smooth and creamy.
Roll out each biscuit dough piece into a flat circle. Place about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each circle, followed by a small dollop of lemon curd.
Fold the dough over the filling, pinching the edges to seal, and shape it into a donut. Place each filled donut into the prepared donut pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the donuts are golden brown.
While the donuts are baking, melt the butter. Once the donuts are out of the oven, brush them with melted butter and immediately sprinkle with the remaining 1/4 cup sugar.
Using a kitchen torch, carefully caramelize the sugar on top of each donut to create the crème brûlée effect.
